Light,
water, feeding, air, humidity and a whole lot is needed to grow houseplants
successfully.
Houseplants require a lot of important features in order for them to grow properly. Let's take a look at some of them.
For instance, light. All plants need light in varying degrees. Too little light and they become leggy or spindly looking. Too much light and they can get sunburned and dry out quickly. All rooms have different kinds of light, therefore, different kinds of plants will be needed.
The most overlooked area with houseplants are their warmth requirements and it's easy to figure this one out. If you're comfortable, then so are your plants. If you need to run around the house with no clothes on because it's too hot - then your plants need to be cooled down as well.
And the opposite is the same for keeping warm. If you need a jacket indoors, your plants need to kept warm too. Air movement and fresh air is another houseplant requirement, not cold drafts or gale winds. Good air lessens fungus, disease and insect activity.
