Here's
the question for the day. Should you water your trees before a ground freeze?
Hey, I'm a poet and don't even know it.
A very controversial gardening question that I get asked often this time of year is whether or not one needs to water their deciduous trees as it gets colder.
Let's face it, when a tree loses its leaves, it looks like it's dead! And why would you want to water a dead tree?
Though a deciduous tree is not actively growing and its root system does not take up nutrients, I have no problem deep watering a deciduous tree before frost comes around.
