When we think of gardening tools, we normally have in our mind a shovel, rake, broom or hoe that takes up space in the garage. But what about gardening tools for houseplants.
Well, if you pick up a gardening catalogue or visit your local nursery, you might find miniature tools like tiny shovels, small trowels, a teeny metal rake - the list goes on and so does the price!
This miniature stuff really can get expensive. Though it's not as aesthetic, you can substitute those fancy indoor tools with common household kitchen utensils.
For instance, a large fork can be used to scratch soil surfaces. An oversized spoon is perfect for potting purposes. A meat baster is used to force-feed a plant and a two-forked prong is perfect for soil aeration!
