Edible Flower Recipes

Flowers are pretty, smell great and taste fantastic.

Taste?

Yep, edible flowers are a great way to liven up any get-together, and here are some recipes to get you started! (Warning: Use only flowers that are edible and organically grown. Completely wash before use. )

Flower Dip

Mix all parts together. Allow to sit overnight so flowers may be absorbed by other ingredients. Darker flowers are best. Serve with vegetables, pretzels or chips.

Edible Dirt

Mix instant pudding per box instructions then place in plastic pots. Sprinkle a layer of crushed fudge cookies. Insert flower in middle of plastic pot. Eat right away or chill in refrigerator for a snack later on.

Bouquet Butter

Thoroughly mix together both ingredients. Spread on crackers, bread or sweet bread. Very Tasty!

Scented Sugar

Finely chop lemon scented geraniums lay out on cookie sheet with lemon zest in oven at 250 degrees for 10 minutes. Check every couple of minutes until all is completely dry. Mix with sugar then add to tea and punch. Add to ice tray for a frozen sweet 7 fruity flavored ice cubes.
