Chemical Vs. Biological Control

Chemical control vs biological control. Which is better for you?

There's plenty of controversy going around on whether chemical control is best for the yard and garden or if natural, botanical or biological control is better.

It's a personal decision you have to make yourself.

Nearly all vegetables from the supermarket are sprayed with fungicides and insecticides before they are harvested. But does that allow you to spray your home grown veggies?

Again, a personal decision you have to make yourself. Natural or biological controls are more costly, with a higher waste of rotten fruit and vegetables due to fewer control methods. However, when grown successfully, you can do a larger and tastier harvest.

I'm a believer in IPM, or Integrated Pest Management. Do what ever you can naturally and exhaust it before using chemicals -- but never use chemicals on vegetables, leave it to the pros.
